My aunt Carolyn talks about 'liking what you have to do', a skill she is quite adept at. I think this is as good a description of being in the moment (and maybe of the concept of Dharma) as any I've heard. Life is hard, yes; I try to remember that, and make choices that balance challenge with enjoyment. Yes, you're masochistic, but once I realized you liked being busy, liked being spread too thin, liked perhaps, being a bit stressed out even, I began to understand your choices a bit better.
